Can someone list the exact drivers that I need for a asus z97-a motherboard. My os is windows 7 64bit 4 answers Last reply Jul 9, 2014 Best Answer Jul 9, 2014. I choose Niresh because I have no access to another mac and was unable to use the Unibeast method. Before I used multibeast my native 1080p resolution was working. I installed the nvidia cuda and gtx drivers but I still dont have 1080p resolution and everything is low quality etc. Animations are slow and buggy.
I started with a computer that was already running OSX Lion on it and downloaded Mavericks 10.9.3, Unibeast 3.0.1, and Multibeast 6.3.1
Installed using Unibeast 3.0.1 and Mavericks 10.9.3 downloaded from Applestore to a 16GB Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 Flash drive.
I prepared the Flash and installed Mavericks to the drive using the instructions here:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/374-unibeast-install-os-x-mavericks-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html
After about 15 Minutes it finished copying to the drive.
I then went into BIOS and disabled Integrated LAN, set XMP to Profile 1, Set Graphics configPrimary Graphics to PCIE Graphics, under security options I also set to 'BOOT FROM OTHER OS'
I made sure to disconnect all drives except for the Main SSD that I was using for the install.
Also If you have a card reader it's probably best to disconnect it also, as you will receive an error stating ebios boot error which doesn't necessarily mean it's a KP or anything it just shows it can't read from the drives, which because there is nothing in them it can't.
Now the fun part, installing the OSX!!!
when you are inserting the Flash drive, i chose the front panel USB 2.0 port. You can use the rears but make sure you are using a 2.0 port.
When you turn on machine continue to hit 'F8' and choose the flash drive with mavericks on it. Mine was a Sandisk Extreme and it showed up as such, just use arrows to select it and hit enter
When it pops up with the Chimera Boot loader, Start typing these flags without parentheses:
'GraphicsEnabler=Yes IGPEnabler=No' and hit enter
Without these the Video will go Black and no signal will emit from the video card after the initial splash screen and spinning wheel. It will just sit there.
I chose no other Flags and it boot right to the installer.
Once you are in the installer click the first button to confirm your language.
On the next screen you will need to click on the top bar labeled Utilities, and then Disk Utility.
Once in disk utility, on the left select the drive in the left column and in the right select partition tab.
Select current and choose 1 Partition
Then click on the options button below and choose GUID Partition Method.
Under name I chose Mavericks, you can choose anything you like.
Under format Choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Click apply then Partition
Close Disk Utility.
Click Continue, and when you install to the drive choose it (The SSD or drive installed for OSX) not the Flash drive
It will take around 15 minutes to install depending on the flash drive you chose to use. Mine was pretty quick.
After it finishes it will say it needs to restart. Let it restart and when bios pops back up start hitting F8 again
Choose the Flash drive to boot up
When it comes up with the Chimera boot loader make sure to select USB and then type in: without Quotes:
'GraphicsEnabler=Yes'
Make sure not to do the same IGPEnable=No otherwise you will get KP.
You should be at your window for Setting up your account. Enter any pertinent information, and when it asks, say that this mac does not connect to the internet. finish doing the setup and after you get to desktop, goto the usb flashdrive and copy multibeast from there to desktop.
Open it up and confirm you want to open it.
In the settings you want to choose these options below:
Quick Start > DSDT Free
Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC1150
Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > Intel 9 Series Motherboard Support
Drivers > Disk > 3rd Party SATA
Drivers > Disk > TRIM Enabler > 10.9.x TRIM Patch
Drivers > Misc > EvOreboot
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.8.1307
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.8.1307 Plugins
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.8.1307 HWMonitor Application
Drivers > Misc > USB 3.0 - Universal
Drivers > Network > Intel > AppleIntelE1000e v3.0.4.1a
Drivers > System > AppleRTC Patch for CMOS Reset
Bootloaders > Chimera v3.0.1
Customize > Boot Options > Basic Boot Options
Customize > Boot Options > Generate CPU States
Customize > Boot Options > Hibernate Mode - Desktop
Customize > Boot Options > Use KernelCache
Customize > Boot Options > 1080p Display Mode
Customize > Boot Options > GraphicsEnabler=Yes
Customize > System Definitions > iMac > iMac 14,2
Customize > Themes > tonymacx86 Black
After Doing this select BUILD tab and then INSTALL after confirming that all options were selected and that the correct HD Is selected on the right under Select Install Drive.
After doing so it may take a few minutes depending on your boot drive, and then when it completes, restart your Hackintosh and it should boot right on the hard drive without no flags.
I Have problems with my ALC1150 Audio but I think I messed up when I first installed the option without the '9 Series support' option enabled. Let me know how you guys fare. Thanks for Tonymac for making it possible to do this with all the support of the forum members, and of course apple for making mavericks free!!!
